Moving On

As many of you know, the journey of writing and publishing a book is a deeply personal and often winding road. When I first set out to share my work with the world, I did so with great excitement, anticipation, and no small amount of trepidation. Writing is a solitary process, but bringing that work into the world requires a partnership with those who can help give your words wings. For me, Covenant Books was that partner, and I will forever be grateful for the support and guidance they provided as I published my first book.

I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Covenant Books team. From the initial concept to the final publication, they played an instrumental role in turning my vision into a reality. Their expertise, resources, and professionalism were essential in navigating the complex world of book publishing, especially for a first-time author like me. It was through their help that I learned many of the nuances involved in turning a manuscript into something that readers could hold in their hands, and I will always be thankful for the care they showed during the process.

However, as much as I value that experience, I’ve decided to part ways with Covenant Books as I embark on the next phase of my writing career. This wasn’t an easy decision, nor was it made lightly. Covenant Books has been a wonderful partner, and I will always look back on our time working together with fondness. But, after much thought and reflection, I have realized that I want to take a different path moving forward—one that provides me with more creative control and allows me to shape my work in a way that feels authentic to my evolving goals.

As I continue to grow both as an author and as a person, I’ve come to understand that one of my greatest priorities is to have more autonomy over the decisions that affect the direction and presentation of my books. Covenant Books gave me a great foundation and a wonderful introduction to the world of publishing, but I now feel that it’s time to explore a route that allows me more flexibility and control. This decision will allow me to more fully oversee every aspect of my work, from the design of the covers to the marketing strategies I pursue.

Some of you may wonder what this means for my future projects, and I’m excited to share that I’m currently exploring independent publishing options that will give me a hands-on approach to the next phase of my writing. There’s something incredibly liberating about having the freedom to make creative decisions, and I’m eager to engage with the entire process of bringing a book to life in a way that feels true to my vision. I believe that this new path will enable me to connect with readers in an even more personal and meaningful way.

Of course, with this newfound freedom comes new challenges. I will be navigating the world of independent publishing with a mix of excitement and humility, recognizing that there is still much to learn. But if there’s anything that the process of writing and publishing my first book taught me, it’s that challenges are opportunities in disguise—opportunities to grow, learn, and deepen my understanding of the craft.

For those of you who have supported my writing journey so far, I want to say thank you. Your encouragement, feedback, and enthusiasm have been a constant source of inspiration. As I transition into this new phase, I hope you’ll continue to walk with me as I explore what this next chapter has in store.

In closing, I want to express once again my deep gratitude to Covenant Books for the role they played in getting my first book into the hands of readers. It was a journey filled with learning, growth, and accomplishment. And now, as I step into this new season, I am filled with excitement for the possibilities ahead.

I look forward to sharing more updates with you soon about my upcoming projects and the new directions my writing will take. Thank you for being a part of this journey, and for continuing to support me as I follow this new path forward.
